Wait. What?

Guys. Guys....

Am I sixteen again? What happened? This is like ... if Stephen Dorff suddenly started wandering around on my screen, being hot and snarky and BAMF and HOT again. Except BETTER. Because it's freaking CHRISTIAN SLATER.

And he's GORGEOUS. And I don't even think that's my teenage hormone reunion talking. (Although, Heathers and Pump Up the Volume and the only watchable thing in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves besides the Alan Rickman/Michael Wincott double act all make a pretty compelling argument.) He's everything that pushed my buttons then, but now with more: more self-awareness, more snark, more cool, more tap-dancing three steps ahead of everyone else in what may even be the wrong direction but taking everyone with him and making it work anyhow. And shorter hair, yes pls.

HE CAME BACK. And I didn't even know I was missing him so hard. But all it took was seeing him on the picture for Breaking In and immediately realising that he is one of the few actors I will check something out for, because that's exactly what I did, in spite of the fact that I thought it was just going to be another heist-show cash-in. And, okay, it's froth – nerdy, sharp froth – and so vigorously so that I'm half-wondering how many episodes before it burns itself out. But it doesn't overreach what it is, and it's okay with being a little bit wrong, and it's CHRISTIAN SLATER-flavoured.

In conclusion: CHRISTIAN SLATER. \o/

Hee, I can't watch that movie. I think I only watched it once. The wigs on Cruise and Pitt just kill me, I can't take it at all seriously and (as far as I can tell), they're taking it VRY SRSLY indeed, and that gets uncomfortable. Strangely, the much more camp one with whats-her-name as Akasha and Stuart Townsend as Lestat was much more enjoyable, to me anyhow. Maybe because absolutely no one was taking it seriously.

Oh man. You had me at Christian Slater. I don't know how I'd have gotten through the teen years without Heathers and Pump Up the Volume. I will have to check this out. :)

INORITE? An actual *thrill* runs down my back when I see/hear that name. How does that happen? It's just not right!
